boulevard in oakland. this is a developing story and we'll get more information out to you as soon as we learn it. a family barbeque in antioch brought to a skretching hault today when a 7-year-old boy is shot in the backyard. kron four's philippe djegal shows us where this happened. and how neighbors are reacting. the antioch police say the shooter was standing on this overcrossing. overlooking this backyard, and then opened fire on a group of people have a b-b- q. at around 4-15 in the afternoon, on the 200 block of william reed drive. alfred ragonton lives with his family across the street and heard the gunfire. police say the seven year old boy was the only one injured. shot once. he was airlifted to children's hospital in oakland. but police say his wound is non-life threatening. police say no arrests have been made. the suspect is still at large. but the investigation is still on going. ragonton isn't the only one frustrated with the crime in this neighborhood. a make-shift memorial still stands on the street corner where that homicide took place. just a few homes down from janelle

at the hall of justice in san francisco, kron four news. serious accusations could cost two oakland city council members their jobs. both elected officials are said to have used their power to influence city business. and as kron 4's grant lodes reports, this news comes after an oakland city auditor released a report.which details improper behavior from 2009 to 2012. >> reporter: the council members accused of wrongdoing: desley brooks and larry reid. the audit claims there were 14 instances in which councilmembers or their aids violated the city's charter. among the findings: both are accused of directing staff members to use a specific contractor for the oakland army base demolition project. that contract.worth about 2 million dollars. the audit also alleges that one of reid's aids directed parking officials to fix two of the aid's personal parking tickets. as for brooks: the audit says she interfered in the management and renovation of two oakland recreation centers. including.selecting contractors, negotiating contracts, directing staff to process contracts, setting project deadlines

oakland police are turning to the public for help. authorities are working on tracking down the suspect who shot and killed a san francisco man early this morning. kron 4's scott rates walks us through what happened. >> reporter: this call was about one block ago. at the oakland police department at this intersection at clay /ninth and ninth street. around 3:00 a.m.. shots were fired and this man was shot multiple times walking on this intersection. investigators believe that it was an occupant inside another car that shot at the driver of the other car. he was taken to the hospital where he died. hwe know that he is a 37 year-old man. we checked with the oakland police department and we are hoping for some type of witness that can come forward. we are offering a $10,002 reward. scott rates, kron 4. >> a big pay off for voters in san jose. tomorrow, the city's minimum wage will go up two dollars.that goes for both part-time and full-time employees. it also includes those working for tips. kron four's philippe djegal shows us how it all adds up. >> reporter: so, this is how it works. and

'll be doing some critical work on the new oakland airport connector kron 4's charles clifford shows us what it will mean for drivers. >> reporter: this is a google earth map. starting saturday morning, bart will begin installing new railways over instate 880...here... just west of hegenberger road. this is part of the ongoing work to complete the new oakland airport connector. in order to finish the work, crews will first need to shutdown the two lefthand lanes of north bound 880 starting at 11am on saturday morning. that closure will last all day on saturday. then from 1am until 6am on sunday morning, caltrans will completely shutdown all northbound lanes of 880 at hegenberger road. the southbound lanes will remain open. cars travelling north can detour around the closure by first exiting 880 at hegenberger road. then they will have to turn left onto edes avenue, cross over hegenberger and continue along coliseum way. they will then drive past oracle arena and the coliseum before merging back onto northbound 880 just past 66th avenue. now this weekend's closures, will be repeated the follo
